The electrical work has begun! This past week has seen progress on the electrical front. Stuff is getting wired in. Recessed light cans have been installed. New wiring has been strung around. Some outlets and switches got new wiring too.
I also did some quick demo of the upstairs bedroom and linen closet doors. The doors were really creepy. How creepy were they? The guy who came over to give me an estimate on gutter, siding, and window replacement asked if he can get the doors when I take them down. He runs a haunted house for Halloween and wanted the doors for his spooky mansion! I also got an estimate for floor replacement and refinishing. Looks like the upstairs wood floor and the stairs are salvageable. They are white oak and the company can refinish them. Saves me quite a bit of money and time. I’m going to ask the flooring company to save as many planks as possible. I have a little project in mind and the reclaimed wood floors would be perfect for it…..
this is so awesome Hyong! i wish i could do something like this one day. if i ever own a house, i will def ask you many questions. keep up the good work!

thanks albert! it’s been a roller coaster ride. i’ll be happy to give you any advice but the best advice i would have is to talk to me before you even start looking at a fixer upper to purchase. despite the stress and difficulties, i think that in the end, it will be worth it!
